Our Process

The purpose of our initial appointment is to explore your objectives and how we can help. This consultation can be in person, over the phone or via video call. We run through a basic questionaire to get a general idea of your financial position. We will then email a list of documentation we require to proceed further with the application.

Once you have provided us with all documentation listed in our initial email. We begin our assessment. This includes borrowing capacity assessments, ordering of any valuations and credit checks. Once we are satisfied we can achieve an approval for you, we send you an application form to sign.

Once we have received your signed application form, we submit the application to the lender for their assessment. We then work directly with the lender to have your application approved.

After the application has been approved, we still need to have it settled. The lender will provide you with loan documentation to read and sign. We help you read through and understand all documents before signing. We then also assist you with any account set ups or additional information that may be required.

Once the loan documents are signed and accepted by the lender, we move the application to the final stage known as settlement. This is where the money and titles change hands. After settlement is completed, your new loan is opened and you’re good to go. We will then check in every six months to ensure your rates are still competitive and answer any potential questions you have.

How We’re Paid
BluePoint Financial is paid by the lender, not by you. When we help you secure a home loan, investment loan, or refinance, the lender pays us a commission once your loan settles. This means our mortgage broking service is completely free for most clients.
We receive two types of commission: an upfront commission paid at settlement, and a trail commission paid monthly over the life of your loan. Both are based on your loan amount and are paid directly by the lender.
Australian mortgage brokers are governed by a Best Interests Duty, which legally requires us to act in your best interests at all times, not the lender's. This means we recommend the loan that suits your needs, not the one that pays us the most.
We believe in full transparency. Before we submit any application, we will disclose the exact commissions we expect to receive so you always know where we stand.
